Hafentor Münster

A gateway building on the last vacant plot on the south bank of Münster’s city harbour. Two towers mark the mouth of the canal; an atrium and a courtyard bring daylight deep inside. Façades of recycled brick and glass-ceramic panels respond to the site’s industrial heritage. An accompanying research thesis explores strategies for urban mining design.

A green technology centre for Beiersdorf AG in Hamburg, developed together with energy, structural and production engineers. A long-span timber beam grid carries the heavy loads; the prefabricated façade is designed for later disassembly.

A new learning centre on Templergraben: two existing buildings and a free-standing structure for workshops and labs under one shared glass envelope. Voids and glass louvres use the stack effect; a space-frame roof ties everything together.
